Tree crashes on to flats

A YOUNG girl had a lucky escape when a tree crashed into a block of flats in Hanham.

Firefighters said the child had been on her bed when a branch came through the window but she had only minor cuts. A parked car was crushed in the incident during Storm Dennis and 16 people had to leave their homes.
