Our care providers receive additional funding for Covid-19
We’re pleased to announce that we’re able to pay our adult social care providers more during the current Covid-19 situation thanks to additional funding from central government. The costs will be funded from the £6.08m Covid-19 emergency grant the council has received from government. Read the full story here

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
If you are a parent and carer of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, we now have a dedicated council webpage within our Coronavirus section. We’re working with parents, carers and schools to ensure there is support in place and that children are being safeguarded. Find more information here

Advice and funding for businesses 
Businesses impacted by coronavirus are being urged to apply for previously announced government funding. South Gloucestershire businesses can apply for funding here 

Small and medium-sized enterprises can also call the West of England Growth Hub on 0117 4566955 to access support and advice from an Enterprise Executive.

Freephone Covid-19 response number
Our Covid-19 web pages include information about local community groups that are helping vulnerable people across the district, changes to council services due to the outbreak, and a regularly updated FAQs section. Please, wherever possible, first check there to see if the information you need is available.

The Covid-19 Response Freephone number provides support for those without access to our website and is only for Covid-19 related queries. The number is 0800 953 7778 and we can be contacted 08.45 to 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.45 to 16.30 Fridays. Our trained contact centre staff will answer calls and provide information as well as directing you to the right place for the right help.
