REDUNDANT shelving from Kingswood Library has gone to a good home – Hanham Woods Academy.
The racks were surplus to requirement when the library relocated to the Civic Centre. The academy received eight sets of shelves, a spinner and two mobile units which has allowed the school to double the size of its library and display books which had been in storage.
Lis Jardine, school librarian, said: “It has been amazing to watch the library grow from a room with a few books in it to a real working library. Literacy is a big drive across the academy this year for all age groups, so this resource will play a crucial part of that drive.”
