Museum gets go-ahead to open again
KINGSWOOD Heritage Museum will reopen on Saturday August 1 following the completion of measures to protect both visitors and staff.
The Museum will be open every Tuesday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and admission will be free of charge for all visitors.
There are two new major exhibits for 2020. The first is a display celebrating Guiding in Kingswood, including photos of the activities of many of the local units over the years, created by the Girl Guide leaders themselves.
The other is entitled “Spotlight on Downend and Mangotsfield”, with pictures covering the development of the area through the twentieth century.
Although not currently compulsory, the museum recommends that visitors use face coverings during their visit.
