Kingswood Players set to stage comedy
Security salesman Desmond Donahue (played by Tom Winchester) with widow May (played by Sue Williams)
THE Kingswood Players are hard at work putting the finishing touches to their next production.
The am-dram group will perform comedy A Foot in the Door by Richard Harris, a play centred around May, an elderly widow who has invited the new and inexperienced salesman Warren into her home.
He soon discovers he is not the only one working the patch as not long after arriving the pair are joined by Desmond Donohue of Samson Home Security. Desmond has been doing the job for 20 years and won't take no for an answer. But both Warren and Desmond soon realise they may be in for a long night.
Richard Bond, director and one of the founding members of the Kingswood Players, said: “Rehearsals are going really well and we are still laughing at the humour.
“Instead of a summer break, the cast concentrated on learning the script early and this shows now as we move into our final rehearsals.”
Performances take place on Friday October 25 at 7.30pm, and Saturday 26 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm at Kingswood Community Centre, BS15 4AB.
Tickets £8 and £7. Contact the box office on 07772 056562 or book online at kingswoodplayers.org
