Fish, chips ... and toys
A KINGSWOOD mum organised a Christmas present collection to make sure no child went without one.
Ebony Kenington, 21, asked people to donate presents at her business, the Clock Tower Fish Bar in Kingswood.
She also created an Amazon wish list of presents for children of different ages so that people who were isolating could donate.
It took her two days to wrap all the donations that came in, to bring Christmas cheer to around 40 children.
She said: “It was a rubbish year with lots of local people losing their jobs and there are lots of families who would have to go without at Christmas.
“I thought this would be a way to bring the community together and help those that need it. I ended up with three black bags full of presents.”
The presents were distributed with the help of one of the Clock Tower’s delivery drivers, Shauna Millman, who arranged for families in need to get in touch via Facebook or text with the ages of their children. The kind actions follow on from Ebony’s work during October half term, when she gave away 40 free children’s meals and 100 food parcels.
