Covid can't stop our great snowman trail!
CHILDREN in Kingswood will be able to follow the annual snowman trail around the town centre despite Covid restrictions.
This Christmas is the fifth year the popular trail will run. It takes place on Saturday 19 December, the day after schools break up.
Participants will hunt down 20 snowmen displayed in the windows of businesses, with those who spot them all receiving a prize and being entered into a draw for a larger prize.
Kingswood Business Association secretary Nick Worlock said: “We know Christmas is going to be different this year, but we know families enjoy looking for the snowmen.
“It is a free-to-enter competition and might help shoppers discover businesses they didn’t know existed.”
Each snowman is decorated and named by the business.
Unlike previous years, where the snowmen were located inside businesses to encourage shoppers to come in, this year will see all snowmen located in windows so that they can be spotted regardless of whatever restrictions might be in place on the day. The trail has also been reduced to one day rather than throughout the lead up to Christmas.
Entry forms can be collected and returned from 9am to 5pm on December 19 from an event table inside Kings Chase shopping centre.
