Breaches: 50 fined
POLICE have expressed disappointment at the number of people in the Bristol area who are breaking Covid regulations.
Over the weekend of February 20-21, officers received 489 reports of suspected breaches and issued 66 fixed penalty notices.
Fifty people were fined across the force area for attending unauthorised gatherings and 14 fines were issued to people found to be outside their homes or making journeys without a reasonable excuse.
Assistant Chief Constable Steve Cullen said: ““No one should still be in any doubt as to what the current rules are, or the importance of abiding by them.”
