Bear necessities are raisins and rugby
CHILDREN at The Park primary school have been learning about nutrition and fitness this term from professional sports coaches.
The Year Four students were joined by coaches from Bristol Bears Rugby Club.
The event aimed to teach the youngsters how to improve their fitness, motor skills and understanding of how to stay healthy.
One of the highlights was making raisin energy balls. The coaches also ran sessions in rugby skills, as well as leading a game of bulldog.
Teacher Kirstin Whitney said: “According to one of the children, Rupert, the best coach was the enormous Jo, who made them laugh.
“Evie thoroughly enjoyed making energy balls and being filmed imitating professional athletes.
“A big thank you to Bristol Bears and their sponsors.”
