Award for takeaway
A RESTAURANT whose owner helped organise free meals for key workers and homeless people during the 2020 lockdown has won an award.
Rajastan Royal in Westbourne Road took the West of England Takeaway of the Year title in the annual Asian Curry Awards.
Its owner is Naseem Talukdar, whose parents ran Kingswood's Rupali restaurant.
Naseem led the Food 4 NHS Project involving teams from takeaways and restaurants across Bristol.
He said: “We have worked hard over the Covid-19 period and it’s great to get such recognition.”
